The supplied club crest and black, electric-blue, white and silver identity were recognisable anchors.
Calgary Outlaws
Make an entrance. Give fans a reason to stay.

01 / THE CONTEXT
START WITH
THE PERSON.
A cinematic digital identity for a hockey club, connecting a bold first impression with the practical information fans come for: the team, the schedule and the stories.
The site needed the energy of a hockey launch without losing the everyday tasks: finding a game, discovering the team and following the season. The visual experience and the information structure had to work together.
02 / SOURCE OBSERVATIONS
WHAT SHAPED THE WORK.
The schedule source contained 20 games, evenly split between home and away.
A dramatic desktop experience still needed readable content and useful navigation on a phone.
03 / DESIGN DECISIONS
Build around the club’s identity.
Retain the crest and palette, then push the art direction through oversized typography, rendered hockey imagery and a strong contrast between light and dark.
Make the schedule usable.
Represent every supplied fixture and design All, Home and Away states. Build the hierarchy around opponent, date, time and venue.
Give motion a useful boundary.
Create four short desktop and mobile motion scenes. The implementation handoff includes static fallbacks, pause controls and reduced-motion behaviour.
04 / THE WORK
A closer look.
Original project screens. Any prices, offers or commercial statements shown are part of the historical design artifact.
05 / DELIVERED & LEARNED
THE OUTCOME.
IN CONTEXT.
What was delivered
Delivered responsive page designs, four motion exports, a complete supplied schedule and an editable WordPress handoff. The work shown here is the design and motion package; it is not a claim of a public WordPress launch or measured audience growth.
What to validate next
Validate fixture updates, ticket destinations and editorial workflows in the production site, then evaluate how quickly fans can find the next home game.
